B) Consultant, Rainbow Displays, Inc., 1997-2003.

  • Engaged in development of lamination process of tiled liquid crystal displays (LCD) and collimators used in the displays.
  • Analyzed stresses in layered structures, their affects on LC layer, and thermal distortions in the panel and collimators.

C) Retired as a Senior Technical Staff Member, IBM, 1968-1997.

  • Specialized in development and design analyses of printer components for impact(engraved and dot matrix) and non- impact(ink jet and electrophotographic) printers.
  • The recent work has been in color and image sciences as applied to printing (color conversion tables and half-tone screens).
  • Dynamic stress analysis of printer components such as print hammers and print bands through mathematical modelling and computer programming.
  • Thermal stress analysis of integrated circuit boards as related in electronic packaging.
  • Analysis of drop formation as applied in ink jet printing.
  • Electrophotographic processing of non-impact printing.
  • Image processing and calibrations of gray and color images.
  • Development of color conversion schemes for three and four dimensional colors, to generate color rendering dictionaries for PostScrip printers and ICC profiles.

D) Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 1962-1968.

  • Taught under-graduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering and in applied mathematics(1/2 time in each department).
  • Also, was a retained consultant for Mechanical Technology, Inc., Latham, NY (1962-1965) and General Electric Company, Schenectady, NY (1965-1968).
